Abstract

A research on testing tle effect aethanolic extract of Andrographis paniculata Nees. on the blood HDL cholesterol concentration of white mice had been done. This was done to 6O mice devided into 4 groups. Each group was treated as follows: Control group (coconut oil) and the other 3 groups was treated by giving coconut oil with 3 variaties of dose aethanolic ertract of Andrographis paniculata Nees. (30, 100, 300 mg/kg BW. The observation was done on day 7 th, 14 th and 21 th by using the enzymatic method with spectrophotometer. The experimental result indicates that aethanolic extract of Andrographis paniculata Nees. can increase HDL cholesterol in some variaties of dose.
